The Coming Unprecedented Wave of The Holy Spirit

John Paul Jackson

Catagory: Prophecy

Recently, I had an encounter with God’s Holy Spirit that deeply impacted my spirit. As I shared it with my staff, they sat stunned. Many began to weep and cry out in intercession. I want to share it with you because of your hunger and for the expansion of His kingdom on earth.

In the encounter, it was as if the Lord had taken me into the future to witness a coming release of an unprecedented move of God. This coming wave of God’s Spirit will grow to such intensity that the air will literally feel thick, like the density of honey. In this extreme and unusual atmosphere of the Holy Spirit, many will find it difficult to breathe or manage bodily movement. Some may feel as if they are trying to walk against a rising river. Just prior to this new wave of the Holy Spirit, the Lord will change our understanding of all the gifts, especially those of the apostle and the prophet. God has divinely orchestrated these gifts to work together in unity to advance His kingdom. Their greatest impact will be seen when all the gifts and individuals begin to work together unselfishly. God will use the unique blending of gifts to create the right atmosphere for His desired outpouring.

Presently, many are functioning in these gifts independently; fearing they may appear less anointed if another leads. God will soon demand the walls separating the gifts to be demolished. He will use humility to bring this about. Those who refuse to embrace humility will face the furnace of humiliation. If they continue to resist, God will remove their influence in the church. INCREASED PRESENCE OF THE SPIRIT Simultaneously, God will release a fresh wind of worship to musicians and vocalists. The coming sounds will herald a greatly increased measure of God’s presence. The resulting synchronization of sound and Spirit will eventually lead to the incorporation of lights, music, vocals, rhythms, and other sounds at spiritual levels that are mostly nonexistent in corporate worship today. A sharpened spiritual awareness will permeate worship teams, allowing seamless instrumental and vocal expressions to be intertwined. The Holy Spirit will touch percussionists, who will often sense the coming of His Presence. Percussion will take a more prominent role in church gatherings. As percussionists develop a heightened spiritual awareness, they will sense the Holy Spirit’s flow and know when to increase, decrease, or soften the decibel level.

Worship will arise that will usher in an even greater flow of the Spirit. This profoundly increased presence of the Holy Spirit will release four things: The Holy Spirit will take a new dimension of control of the church, unlike anything seen in recent history. It will resemble the days of Solomon, when the priests were unable to continue ministering because of the cloud that filled the temple. (I Kings 8:11). When this happens, the Holy Spirit will be in control. While the spirit of the prophet is subject to the prophet, the Spirit of God is subject to no one. Although not everyone will see the thickness of God’s presence, many will "feel" it. Some will describe it as a cloud. Others will feel the thickness of God’s Spirit resting on a person being touched. Sometimes only one person will be touched by this thick presence of God. At other times, many will be touched. One sign that the Holy Spirit is touching someone will be the evidence of physical signs in and on those who simply come close to that person. This will keep mimicry to a minimum.

As people draw near a person being touched by the Holy Spirit, many healings, miracles, and deliverances will occur. No one will need to pray for them. They will be impacted by the thick presence of the Holy Spirit resting on believers. These healings, miracles, and deliverances will have an added dimension of transcending distances. When people who are in the midst of this tangible presence of the Holy Spirit pray for their friends or relatives located in other cities, states, or countries, miracles will happen instantaneously; much like the centurion’s servant who was healed some distance away (Matthew 8:13). This wave of the Holy Spirit will result in many people being saved. When a person who is experiencing this thick presence of the Holy Spirit begins to pray for unsaved children or spouses, the conviction of sin, righteousness, and judgement will be immediately activated. Many unsaved who have been prepared in advance by the Holy Spirit will run into church services, eager to give their hearts to the Lord. As a result of these amazing and wondrous encounters, intercessory prayer will be greatly multiplied. Attendance in prayer rooms will double or triple in size and 24/7 prayer will flourish, as directives from the Lord are being implemented. On many occasions, prayer will last for hours uninterrupted; yet it will only seem like minutes.

What will it take to see this new wave of the Spirit happen? The answer may surprise you and change how you perceive what is important to God. DIVINE ORCHESTRATION The Lord showed me how He had divinely orchestrated the preparation of churches and individuals for what is currently happening and will soon come to pass. God said He has been uniquely blending personalities and giftings in ministries and churches to create a spiritual atmosphere for His desired outpouring. Satan is trying to stop what God is creating by stirring up strife, discord, and division—motivated by selfish ambition. As a result, we disdain individuals whom God chooses to move through, and thus, lessen the spiritual atmosphere around us. God longs to use us to heal others and while many of us claim that we allow the Lord to flow through us, our actions and attitudes toward others actually contaminate and limit the Holy Spirit’s flow through us. This is why so little change actually happens when we pray.

God still heals when imperfect people pray, but this happens because the Lord’s presence flows "around" the person praying instead of "through" him or her. God desires to flow "through" us to touch others. When His Spirit can flow unimpeded through us, we will see the highest levels of healings, miracles, and signs and wonders occur. We will carry the thick presence of the Holy Spirit and witness lives being radically transformed for the kingdom of God. Although faith can open the door for His Spirit to flow through us, the Holy Spirit’s presence in us will be stifled and little outflow will occur if the filter of our life is clogged by negative attitudes toward other people. What will flow out of us will resemble weak and polluted water. I believe this is one of the major reasons we see so few healings and miracles taking place today.

For miracles to occur, it requires that we cultivate a deeper measure of faith and a greater sensitivity to the Holy Spirit’s presence in our lives. THE CONTAMINATION OF PRIDE AND SELF-CENTEREDNESS During a recent encounter with the Lord, I was reminded of a previous message He had shared with me: "Son, I long to give gifts to men and women more than they long to receive those gifts. But, I love them too much to give them a gift that later I would have to judge them for. They are not ready for the adulation that comes as the gift is used. However, if they continue on this road in Me, one day I will be able to grant their prayers." The Lord also reminded me of another message that He delivered to me through a heavenly messenger who said, "God desires to pour forth His power in a way never before demonstrated; yet there has not been a vessel which could contain that power without becoming prideful. God is searching for a way to pour forth His signs and wonders. Yet no people, church, or even gifting has been able to stay uncontaminated." As the angelic messenger revealed God’s heart of great tenderness for us, he began to weep. I could feel the Lord’s heart being torn and the deep grieving of the Holy Spirit as the angel disclosed how sibling rivalry contaminates the body of Christ. I felt heartsick when the Lord showed me how even a small amount of pride and self-centeredness contaminates us. Like any other sin, when pride is left unchecked, it multiplies within us. Moreover, as the pride in us encounters the pride within another’s heart, it grows exponentially. Before we realize it, what was once a "small amount" of pride has been transformed into a large, ugly monster.

The Lord also heightened my understanding of the sins mentioned in James 3:14 – 4:3 and said, "These issues apply to My people right now. They must be addressed before I can flow unimpeded through anyone." While God longs to answer our prayers by giving us those things for which we are asking, He restrains Himself because it would worsen our spiritual condition. Therefore, we must make every effort to rid ourselves of envy, bitterness, selfishness, and earthly wisdom so He may move freely to answer our prayers.

The Lord showed me how we take pride in our spiritual experiences and in the pain that we have suffered. This pride creates a spiritual pretense about how God is going to use us. This pretense (imagined or exaggerated claims of importance) prompts us to seek position. We then form political alliances with those who think like we do. In our insecurity, we begin to develop a prejudice toward those who think differently than us. Left unchecked, our prejudice will drive us to influence others to turn their hearts against those to whom we are prejudiced. Thus, instead of seeking to be used for God’s pleasure, we seek God for our own pleasure. We insist that God grant our desires, rather than seeking to be poured out as a sacrificial offering to Him.

GUARD OUR HEARTS The Lord indicated that we must diligently guard our hearts for the hidden ploys of the enemy which encourage us to justify and endorse how we feel toward others. He said that any feeling we harbor toward our brother of sister that does not draw us toward them is sin. Sin will contaminate and hinder the Holy Spirit’s flow through us; and thus, hinder our prayers and the outcome of seeing lives changed for His glory. As we endeavor to walk circumspectly with the Lord, we must seek to fulfill the two most important spiritual commandments shared by Jesus Christ—". . . You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the fist and great commandment. And the second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself." (Matthew 22:37-39) If we allow the Holy Spirit to flow unimpeded through us, the Lord will be justified in executing the fullness of His plan for us. Therefore, we must continually check our hearts and minds daily. Being free of biased hindrances in our relationship with God and others is the essential key for seeing the unprecedented release of miracles, healings, signs and wonders flowing "through" us to others.
